Its ben said that slot machines are the “crack cocaine” of the gambling world.That being true,its strange that Ls Vegas has never tried to really capitalize on this fact.Yes,the hotels/cations have plenty of slot machines in standard denominations($ 1.00 up to $ 100.00),and a few offer games in $ 500.00 or even $ 1000.00 amounts.But to my knowledge,there has never been slots designed for the REALLY high rollers,maybe ones that cost $ 5000.00,$ 10.000 or even more for turn.You can feed those machines a lot faster than you can play a hand of a standard card game;a high roller feeding ONE foe even a short amount of time(and hour or two)could rack up A LOT of money for the casino.(Assuming,of course,the player didn’t win.But that’s the risk the house takes with all types of gambling)To this end,I have an idea:the major casinos could offer a small,high end luxury slots area with nothing but these very high denomination games.The few high rollers that would play them on a regular basis would create a nice stream of income for the casino.Now look,I realize that these slot would never become THE NEXT BIG THING.Most high roller will always prefer standard card games,and the so called”common folk”who don’t have huge sums of money will always stick to the regular slots.My idea would be a small niche market.But if it could appeal to the small number of really rich people who might actually prefer the slots over every other game,it could still be VERY profitable.Am I onto something?

If you were, this would’ve been introduced into casinos long ago.
There’s also the possibility that a casino has tried this before, was unable to generate any revenue from it, and ultimately had to shut down those slots from unpopularity, or tweak it to accept lower bills. They do that with table games, it wouldn’t be a surprise if that’s what happened with high end slot machines.
As it is now, even the higher end casinos like Venetian and Bellagio, as far as my knowledge goes, are only getting cheap customers. The rich ones are few and far, and a handful of them are actually the heads of the hotel companies. They mostly seem to be interested in playing a few hands for fun, then throwing money around as tips.

Not really.
The penny slots take a lot more money than the $ 100 slots.
You can bet if there was a demand for higher limit slot machines they would already be there.
For the whales who come and get comped the best suites, being fawned on is part of the experience. They wouldn’t get that at a slot machine.
