Ok now everyone knows IT IS NOT illegal to record cops when their on duty esp. if your in a public place etc. the courts have also backed that as a american citizen you have every right to record them and your rights are protected but there are still people who before this became wide spread known that was locked up and charged. so my thing is now that the courts are stepping in and saying enough its not illegal to record and yes you have the right if people who are still in jail for this going to be released since it would be a clear wrongful arrest and violation of our rights? and then those who did get charged if they go back to court and sue wouldnt they win since there rights was violated i mean it should be a open and shut case and the money awarded to the civilian
to impaler19120: your a cop so your reasoning is already wrong because any law that is unconstitutional even if the state passes it if it conflicts with the Constitution then it wont hold like i said we are protected to record cops when we want and for the whole interception of conversations that yall try to use holds no weight cuz when in public you cant awesome you have ANY privacy and this goes for cops also your not above the law just because you have a badge on and if someone recording a cop from a distance is interfering with the police then what do t hat say about the dash cams?those are even closer yet the cops somehow manage to do their job just fine..and you find it fairly immature to ask this question when time and time again cops break laws and violate rights and lie about it then when someone comes forward cuz they got it on camera they try to cover it up??and if you have to to get “pushy” because someone is “smart mouthed” then your need to be evaluate
