Why Do They Say “Drugs and Alcohol”?
Question by rocket: Why do they say “drugs and alcohol”?
Why do people think alcohol is not a drug? Actually, alcohol is much worse than marijuana or even LSD and Ecstasy. Still people think it’s something else. Just because it’s legal? Please, keep in mind that alcohol is a drug too.
Maybe lsd and ecstasy are worse than alcohol, but alcohol is much more addictive.
Actually, Wikipedia says LSD and Ecstasy have lesser physical harm than alcohol (and less addictive too). Only the effects are different of course.

Is It True You Only Need a High School Diploma and Certification to Be a Substance Abuse Counselor?
Question by noname: Is it true you only need a high school diploma and certification to be a substance abuse counselor?
Hi, I’m a 31 year old mom and wife that is about to finish my associates degree in psychology next year and I want to get into counseling. I decided to return to college because I’m tired of dead end jobs and want to finish something I started years ago. As soon as I returned to college, I started getting straight A’s in all my classes and have so much enthusiasm to continue, yet I don’t want to be stuck in college until I’m 40 for my career to begin. The maximum I would like to invest is three more years, perhaps even four. I heard that with a bachelor’s in psychology you can’t really do much =-/. I want a better future for my family but I won’t settle for studying something I don’t like just because it’s short…like medical asst. I heard that to be a substance abuse counselor you don’t even have to have a master’s degree and some people only need a high school diploma in addition to some training to get certified…is that true? If so, where can I find out more? How much do these substance abuse counselors w/o the master’s make anyway? Or should I just stick to getting a bachelor’s in psychology and aim for the master’s while working in a job my bachelor’s can qualify me for?

Are People Who Recorded Police Being Set Free?
Question by RkgjbherjlFGUBA: Are people who recorded police being set free?
Ok now everyone knows IT IS NOT illegal to record cops when their on duty esp. if your in a public place etc. the courts have also backed that as a american citizen you have every right to record them and your rights are protected but there are still people who before this became wide spread known that was locked up and charged. so my thing is now that the courts are stepping in and saying enough its not illegal to record and yes you have the right if people who are still in jail for this going to be released since it would be a clear wrongful arrest and violation of our rights? and then those who did get charged if they go back to court and sue wouldnt they win since there rights was violated i mean it should be a open and shut case and the money awarded to the civilian
to impaler19120: your a cop so your reasoning is already wrong because any law that is unconstitutional even if the state passes it if it conflicts with the Constitution then it wont hold like i said we are protected to record cops when we want and for the whole interception of conversations that yall try to use holds no weight cuz when in public you cant awesome you have ANY privacy and this goes for cops also your not above the law just because you have a badge on and if someone recording a cop from a distance is interfering with the police then what do t hat say about the dash cams?those are even closer yet the cops somehow manage to do their job just fine..and you find it fairly immature to ask this question when time and time again cops break laws and violate rights and lie about it then when someone comes forward cuz they got it on camera they try to cover it up??and if you have to to get “pushy” because someone is “smart mouthed” then your need to be evaluate

if you cant handle words cuz then your saying its ok to push someone around for freedom of speech?that’s right because when your a cop you get to decided who have rights and when..”Why aren’t you out videotaping the drug dealers, or hold up men in your neighborhood? They cause far more harm, wouldn’t you think, than a police officer who gets a little pushy arresting a smart mouthed kid? How about videotaping Burglars or rapists?” again here is your small brained cop thinking,so if someone tries to hold me up with lets say a gun im suppose to tell him hold on dont take my phone i want to record this i know you believe in my right to record even tho your mugging me..thanks..smh you a idiot i guess if i was a girl or a bystander i should tell the rapists hold on let me get this on film real quick? again your statement holds no weight so when someone sees a cop doing something wrong thats why we record it because if we see a cop beating up a guy justified or not we ca
cant just break it up now can we?now that would be “interfering” recording a cop breaking a guy down is not…and then when citizens see people fighting other people or stealing or so have you they either step in and try to stop and call the cops.and yet again another one of your statements is poor the dashcam isnt jus so the cop can be protected it protects both the cop and whomever is involved cuz when a cop lies or defendant lies the camera will show the truth thats if the cop has it on cuz lets face it theres plenty of videos online of cops breaking laws and covering them up but when the video comes out captured on their own dashcam…
