Ok, so you know that part of the show where people tell their loved ones about their addiction? How do they do that? Because obviously that other person is aware of the cameras in the room. And, you have to sign papers agreeing to be in the show. They aren’t just going to agree to sign up in an “anonymous” tv show, either. So if they know that this person has an addiction, how do they act so surprised about it? I am like, really confused.

my life is unmanageable and it is starting to tear my relationships apart. I am now reading “Women,Sex,and Addiction” by Charlotte Kasl and “Healing our Family History” by Rebecca Hintze. I prefer books that are more recent and written in “english” I can understand instead of all those big word technical term books out there. I am on a path to enlightenment and would like more book suggestions.

Almost all of them are stimulants, and are known to decrease appetite.

Dexedrine, Dextrostat, dextro-amphetamine sulfate, Adderall, Desoxyn, methamphetamine HCL, Vyvanse, Lisdexamfetamine, Ritalin, methylphenidate hydrochloride.
These are a few stimulant “CNS” ADD/ADHD meds known to cause loss of appetite and/or weight loss in general.

I have a nephew that has a really bad alcohol and speed addiction. He’s been in the emergency room several times over the past two years and almost died the last time. He needs to go a rehab center, but the family can’t afford it. Does anyone know of any free rehab centers in So Cal? He lives in Victorville CA, but will travel if needed. It needs to be a place where he can stay. Out patient won’t work for him I’m afraid.
