Question by mvseattle2004: how can i find out what treatment facility my friend is in if it is “private information” ?
here’s the story:
my friend got released from AL prison & he said that he was going to a treatment facility in Mobile, AL. I am honestly unsure if he went to one or not. all i know is that i havent heard from him since. he went to prison for thedt b/c he had a REALLY, REALLY BAD substance abuse problem.
how can i find him if i live in GA ??
i have no idea what to do. i want to know that he is o.k……plz help.

If he wanted to contact you, he would, but it seems he needs to be left alone to deal with this so don’t screw it up for him by trying to find him.

You can’t find out no matter where you live. He has privacy (enforced by Federal law), if he wants you to know he will, and can, contact you.
Even the police or Alabama parole or DOC cannot find out unless he has given prior permission or they have a judges subpoena.
Don’t be an enabler, leave him alone until he is ready.
