I tried marijuana in my younger days but that’s the only thing I’ve ever tried. This is a bad thing to say, but I think people are always going to do drugs no matter what laws are put into effect. There are so many people in this world who repeadedly go to jail behind drugs. They don’t seem to want help and without the desire to get help they can’t be helped. Our jails are overcrowded with people committing drug crimes, but they can’t seem to catch the rapists, murderers, etc. What exactly is the government stopping? People are going to find a way to get around the system.
I have often wondered why they don’t make some or all of these drugs legal. Those who want help … well, they can help them get help. Drugs kill and ruin lives, but when you put someone in jail for six months to a year … or longer in some cases if they get prison time … what is the point? 70-80% of the time they get right back out and do the same thing because that is the only life they know. I am talking about selling and using drugs.
